Since January 2020, maintenance, thorough examination, operational testing, overhaul and repair of Lifeboats, rescue boats, fast rescue boats and launching appliances shall be carried out in accordance with the IMO Resolution MSC.402(96). Based on this resolution, the service providers and their personnel, must be certified for the specific maker and model of the equipment that is subject to inspection.

To meet the new requirements, VIKING Norsafe has obtained a multi-brand approval from DNV, BV and ABS accompanied by a flag state authorization from Liberia, Panama, Bahamas, Marshal Islands and Malta.

In this respect, we are able to offer Inspection and Service as per OEM standards and MSC 402(96) requirements through an extensive network of 270 service stations.
