ABC: Innovative and reliable four-stroke solutions for more than 100 years
Pioneering four stroke engine makers Anglo Belgian Corporation have been designing and manufacturing medium speed four stroke engines since 1912.
Today, ABC is the oldest and largest privately owned engine manufacturer in Europe, with 85% of engine components manufactured in-house, at the Ghent/Belgium plant.
ABC traditionally specializes in the development of medium speed engines for marine propulsion and power generation from 0,8 MV to 10,5 MW, with applications in all types of vessels and powerplants.
In view of the IMO regulations for controlling GHG emissions, ABC is concentrated on the exhaustive development of DF engines, using Hydrogen and Methanol as fuel of the future.
DF, BEH2YDRO engines are provided in two different modes:
BEH2YDRO engines are already supplied for marine propulsion use, for the Port of Antwerp Hydrotug
Methanol Dual Fuel Engines
Tugboats at the Port of Antwerp are already scheduled for Methanol Retrofitting
The ABC BEH2YDRO dual fuel engine project has recently received the Energy Globe Award by the Energy Globe Foundation, in the Air Category. The Energy Globe Award honors the best products addressing environmental issues. More specifically, in the Air category the Energy Globe Foundation is looking for solutions that improve air quality and avoid CO2 emissions.
