Founded in 1948, owned and managed by Elton Fox in California until 1991, when it was sold to Roper Industries. AMOT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Roper Technologies, Inc. a publicly traded company and both orientated in Land – Marine business. Currently Amot’s main facilities are located in Bury St. Edmunds Suffolk U.K occupying 100 employees. In addition Amot has expanded its facilities with sales offices around the world (Singapore, Hamburg, Houston, Rotterdam, Korea and Shanghai) and a factory in Malu (China) since 2010.
AMOT is manufacturing valves, electric and pneumatic instrumentation, control and condition monitoring systems and hazardous area safety products.
- Condition monitoring systems: XTSW bearing condition monitoring system. It provides advanced warning of wear in the crank train bearings of 2-stroke slow speed diesel engines via sensors. Last but not least XTS-W avoids open-up inspections providing: operational cost savings, removing high risk of damage during such inspections.
- Valves: thermostatic control, temperature control, fuel metering, diesel engine air intake shut off, fuel shut off and air start valves. Amot also offers a complete line of Service Kits for the whole range of Thermostatic Valves in order to maintain proper operation and efficiency even though, once properly installed the valve will provide years of trouble-free service.
- Electric and pneumatic instrumentation: temperature, pressure, vibration, speed and pneumatic panel components. It includes temperature sensors and switches, pressure switches, vibration sensors, transmitters and switches, impact transmitter, speed sensors and switches.
- Hazardous area safety products: temperature, pressure, vibration, speed, spark arrestors
