Shore-link is an Estonian engineering and manufacturing company that provides tailor made shore power solutions between vessels and ports for a cleaner tomorrow around the globe.
Current EU legislation regulates that shore-side electricity supply for inland waterway vessels and seagoing ships in maritime and inland ports to be installed in TEN-T Core Network ports by the end of 2025.
Shore-Link, has developed shore power solutions in accordance with IEC/IEEE 80005-1 and IEC 800005-2 that support the port and terminal authorities to achieve the required targets of EU directive for 2025, enabling vessels to be connected to the electricity grids while docked.
Shore to ship technology also known as Cold Ironing, Alternative Marine Power (AMP) and Onshore Power Supply (OPS) enables the vessels to shut down their onboard diesel generators during port stay.
Furthermore, as part of the “FuelEU Maritime Initiative”, EU is planning to mandate for Container and Passenger vessels, to connect to on-shore power supply while at berth in EU ports, from 2030 onwards.

SHORE-LINK SOLUTIONS
- Shore Power Dispenser
The Shore-Link cable management system is a shore power delivery solution for Ro/Ro and passenger vessels.
Its modular design can be adjusted according to specific requirements (tower height, rotating arm length, telescopic boom, single- or multi-cabling, operating speed, etc.) and is available as either a low- or medium-voltage solution. - E-Ferry charger (automated plug-in solution)
Shore-Link can provide a fully automatic solution, suitable for both electric and hybrid vessels. Connection time at 10s and charging power up to 5000kW.
Low and Mid voltage solutions, AC/DC with adaptable design. - Shore Power cable reel
For Container Terminals, Shore-Link can provide a separate unit controller with remote control unit. Voltage of 6.6/11kV and shore power up to 7MVA.
Singe and/or multi cabling solution which can be adaptive for flexible usage, as it requires a smaller distance between vessel and shore. - Shore Power solution for cruise ships
Consists of shore connection box and cable management system, with power capacity of up to 20 MVA and cable length up to 40-50 meters, which can be adjusted according to the project-specific needs.
Shore-Link can provide feasibility study including:
- Collecting and mapping of information
- Energy consumption measurements
- Conceptual technical solutions for different scenarios (including equipment specifications, layouts, single line diagrams)
- Simulations for different scenarios
- Calculating and analysing investment and operational costs
- Composing incremental analysis (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback)
- Consultation on potential funding options
